The four-way full air-suspension with autolevel function

An option you should not do without

The constructive cooperation of the two partners Goldschmitt and Niesmann+Bischoff resulted in a sensation for the Flair: The world’s first front axle air suspension and thus the first full air-suspension for the Iveco Daily. This solution allows for a more comfortable spring adjustment, giving the Flair an unrivalled driving comfort. However, full air-suspension not only shows enormous advantages while driving: With its help the motor home can be raised by up to 60 mm beyond the actual driving position. This possibility provides huge advantages in situations such as driving onto a ferry or rolling slowly across rough terrain on unpaved parking sites. In the future, the new full air-suspension will enable you to pass such obstacles quite leisurely and without the worry of scraping the ground. In addition, the chassis can be lowered by about 70 mm from the driving position. This makes it even more convenient to access.

The automated regulation system is controlled by a central computer and provides an optimal driving position via four independent wheel sensors, irrespective of the current load of the vehicle – a driving comfort as never seen before to this day. An extra of a special kind: Whether the vehicle is started from a lowered or a raised position - from a speed of about 15 km/h on, the strong compressors ensure that the vehicle automatically takes the correct driving position.

The 4-way full air-suspension with autolevel function automatically levels out ground unevenness to a certain degree when standing and straightens out the chassis slope in lateral and longitudinal direction to the horizontal home position. In charge here was the renowned chassis refiner Goldschmitt in an exclusive cooperation with Niesmann+Bischoff.

Arto was one of the first motor homes with a Fiat basic vehicle offering the new »Air Premium 4-way full air-suspension« as optional feature.

Together with the engineers of our premium partner AL-KO an electronically regulated full air-suspension could be realized as well for our luxury class on the basis of the Fiat Ducato with AL-KO AMC chassis . Level sensors on all four wheels permanently register all spring movements and also identify loading changes, which are leveled out automatically by the control electronics - a noticeable plus concerning comfort and driving safety. This makes for a longer vehicle service life, systems and chassis components are gone easy on and the noises inside the car are clearly reduced.
